Abstract:

Most people in career transition focus on finding the next role. But what if the real opportunity isn’t a better job – it’s a better life? In this powerful 30-minute talk, Jennifer Maher – a Soulful Prosperity Coach who walked away from a 30-year career to build something completely aligned to her own desires – challenges you to stop updating your resume and start designing your life.

Using her 3 C’s Framework (Clarity, Confidence, and Certainty), Jennifer shows you how to make your next move your best move— no matter what that looks like.

Credentials: Jennifer Maher is a Soulful Prosperity Coach, entrepreneur, and speaker.

After a successful 30-year career in real estate, Jennifer made the bold decision to walk away from everything she’d built and design a life that matched her deepest desires.

When you register, please be sure to answer the questions that appear AFTER Eventbrite says “Order Successful”!

If you have registered for a previous WNO meeting, when you register this time, you can fill in fields where the information has not changed with “Same”!

A preliminary attendance sheet will be e-mailed to all registered attendees the weekend prior to the meeting. Please do not share or distribute the list out of respect for the privacy of the other attendees. We hope that the list is helpful both for you and for you to help others.

  • Make your evening a success – come prepared!
  • Please ensure you’re attending from a quiet location.
  • Please keep your microphone muted except when speaking.
  • See other best practices.

March 17,2026  Tuesday Tune-Up is pleased to welcome, for the first time, Lil Barcaski, CEO of GWN Productions/Virtual Creatives. Lil has been a self-starting entrepreneur for her entire 35-plus-year career. In the past, she has been a successful restaurateur and a professional actor/musician.

For the last 18 years, Lil has been the CEO and project manager of GWN Publishing/Virtual Creatives, a publishing and marketing firm based in the Tampa Bay area, as well as a much-sought-after ghostwriter and consultant. She has ghostwritten dozens of books in the business, memoir, and fiction genres. She is an author, playwright, coach, and consultant. Lil leads a team of writers, editors, designers, and publishing experts. She also uses acting techniques to help speakers hone their stage presentations, drawing on her extensive training in acting and directing, developed in her home state of New Jersey and later at New York University (NYU).

With that extensive background and experience, Lil is going to share how writing a book, creating a coaching program and courses, or speaking, can give you the life you want, including flexibility, control of your own destiny, and income. Even if none of those activities resonate with you, her presentation will help you determine if you are the last person you will ever work for.

Participation is free. So, whether you’re gainfully employed or not. Or if you know someone who is or isn’t, please consider joining us. No guarantee attending will yield a nugget or two about not working for anyone but yourself. I find that hard to believe. I guarantee if you don’t, you won’t.

Paul Cecala – The Lonely Job Search: Empower Your Work Search Council For Greater Support – Princeton

The Princeton Public Library. 65 Witherspoon Street, Princeton NJ 08542

Are the mid-career professionals in your organization or community struggling with the isolating and overwhelming reality of a modern job search? In “Building Your Work Search Council,” career expert Paul Cecala transforms the solo grind of unemployment into a highly supported team effort by teaching job seekers how to effectively mobilize their family, friends, and professional networks. This engaging presentation offers practical, real-world strategies—from using shared calendars to avoid family friction, to extracting vital industry intelligence from former bosses, to navigating the modern AI-driven job market with the right career coach. Attendees will leave with a clear, actionable blueprint to build a dedicated support system that not only accelerates their hiring timeline but also safeguards their mental well-being.

I will touch on using accountability buddies and groups as well, but the main focus will be on the team of friends, relatives, and professional acquaintances. If you want me to change the focus, there is still time to do so.

Tuesday, March 24, 2026 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM (EDT)

The Tuesday evening NJ JobSeekers group, normally at Trinity Church in Princeton, is moving online for the time being.  We will meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays, each month.

Wednesday, Mar 25

Job Seekers of Montclair meets online.

This week’s presentation will be more relaxed as we will hear from Sean Haggerty a consultant for FranNet, the oldest franchise consulting firm in the US. I strongly recommend you attend this as it will be informative and a huge break from the daily and weekly grind of job search. What I like about the presentation is that Sean comes at it from an educational perspective and is not trying to sell you a business or franchise. Business ownership is in fact a viable career or 2nd career option and although most if not all of you will not become a business owner the knowledge you acquire could help someone you know considering business ownership someday. So, join us next Wednesday, March 25, for a relaxed and engaging presentation. The meeting starts at 7:30 pm and is online only.

Ed Samuel – iKnowMyDesign DiSC – Princeton

Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon St, Princeton, NJ 08542, USA

Here’s the benefits of attending this talk on the iKnowMyDesign DiSC assessment tool: 1.  It will strengthen how to answer the pointed questions during an interview about the strengths of their personality 2.  It provides the candidate the ability to be an “authentic interview”  3.  It gives a candidate to see what a Personality Test result would look like if a potential employer asked them to do one. Note: I know many employers use this very tool for 100% of all candidates       that apply for a job with their firm – either before an interview or a condition before a job offer is extended 4.  For those who land or are already working, they can use this same tool to grossly strengthen the team dynamics and use for their future hiring 5.  This assessment tool trumps anything AI can do today as to a candidate’s truce authenticity

Bart Jackson – Getting Personal, Getting Hired – Plainsboro Public Library

Friday, April 10·10:15am – 12:30pm

Digital just doesn’t cut it. Surveys continually show that 50 – 85 percent of all jobs are lled through networking and personal relationships; while ¾ of all open positions never even get posted. Career journalist Bart Jackson has spent a lifetime connecting with the most fascinating professionals, and turning acquaintances into colleagues. With light heart and good humor,  Bart offers tips and strategies for protably broadening your professional pool – discovering those individuals you need to know – learning where to meet them – and most importantly how to e+ectively converse with them. Remember, the world belongs to the talkers.

The Breakfast Club NJ Presents: Quantifying Results on Your Resume by Ed Samuel

Please share this with other groups you may be in.  Join us on Meetup.com at: http://www.meetup.com/The-Breakfast-Club-NJ/ to RSVP for the meeting.

Presentation: One GIANT way to differentiate your value on a resume from all others is to quantify your accomplishments. Stating that you did something is a great starting point. But not explaining the tangible and quantifiable accomplishment takes the air out of the balloon very quickly. Please join Career Coach, Ed Samuel, founder of SamNova, who has helped countless clients quantify accomplishments on their resume resulting in hundreds of clients land their next job. Learn the ground rules to set up quantification on a resume and why an activity has no value. Learn ways to “guesstimate” that will not be challenged. Discover how to apply the litmus test to quantify every accomplishment. Learn the rule of aggregation on page 1 of a resume and the most common methods to quantify; $, %, # – and why volume matters. Learn the downside of not having accomplishments quantified when it comes to the interview. Ed will also show how using AI can help your cause in a big way. Be prepared to participate during the AI part of this talk.

Historically, the team has enjoyed a very high rate of “landings” by those conducting an active and vigorous job search.

Based on the Lee-Hecht-Harrison model, it’s more of a project management team made up of people committed to helping each other in the job search. By attending regularly and staying focused on key tasks, meetings serve as an advisory panel that knows you and your search and can offer answers to the questions that come up in job hunting.

Help others to help you (especially for the first few meetings) by having a prepared “elevator pitch” to introduce yourself. Jobs open up because there’s a problem to solve or a need to fill.
