March 7th, at noon ET, join Lisa Rangel, Resume = tip of the iceberg. Your resume is a fundamental part of of your job search.

It’s what I call “the tip of iceberg”.

It’s the piece that everyone sees.

It’s the most talked about part of your job search.

But don’t forget that the resume itself, that 2-page word doc, is just the tip of the iceberg.

Hidden below the waters is a whole host of other things to consider such as:

  • Ageism
  • ATS
  • Recruiters
  • Networking
  • Targeting roles
  • How to get the resume seen
  • Jumpy career histories
  • Pivoting careers
  • Overqualification
  • The Pandemic

The finished resume is simply the piece everyone sees but is actually just one small and visible part to a much larger beast.

Your resume has to embrace and solve all of those other pieces. Beyond just marketing you, it has to jump the ageism hurdle, and dodge the pandemic curve ball.

It’s responsible for telling your story – and we both know your story isn’t simple.

How is a 2-page document supposed to do all that?

Well it can – but only with my help.

My company, Chameleon Resumes, has been working on senior level resumes for 13 years. We have seen every curveball know to man and we know the art of reframing and repositioning your story so you can seen in the most valuable light.

What’s more, is I am teaching all of this for free in my upcoming resume writing training session on Tuesday.

So, join me on March 7th, at noon ET as I show you how to write a streamlined resume that is agile enough to move you to a new position the moment it becomes available.

This training will also cover:

  • How to target roles you love.
  • How to tackle ageism.
  • How to  position consultancy roles, promotions, and jumpy career histories.
  • The inside scoop on the ATS
  • What to remove from your resume so you don’t look old and outdated.

So join me live for this free training on here: https://chameleonresumes.com/execresregistration

Monday, 20 Mar 2023,  WNO Meeting,

Anna Gibbs, who presented at our March 2022 meeting, is back!

This month Anna’s topic is “Stop Chasing Success!”.  Most people think that happiness comes after success, and that success comes after hard work. But we’ve had the equation all wrong: Happiness isn’t the result of success – it’s the cause of it.

Anna will talk about a simple formula for success based on research in neuroscience and positive psychology, and the connection between happiness and performance.

We will explore the benefits of happiness, and Anna will provide strategies for adopting a positive mindset and remaining optimistic in the face of adversity.

Click the “Register” button below to get more information about our March meeting and Anna Gibbs, and – of course – to register!

The Ramsey Job Search Work Team meets every Monday morning. Networking and meeting starts at 9:00 to 10:30.  Members are expected to hold each other accountable at weekly (virtual) meetings for conducting a job search in earnest. Historically, the team has enjoyed a very high rate of “landings” by those conducting an active and vigorous job search.

Based on the Lee-Hecht-Harrison model, it’s more of a project management team made up of people committed to helping each other in the job search. By attending regularly and staying focused on key tasks, meetings serve as an advisory panel that knows you and your search and can offer answers to the questions that come up in job hunting.

Help others to help you (especially for the first few meetings) by having a prepared “elevator pitch” to introduce yourself. Jobs open up because there’s a problem to solve or a need to fill.

Please contact Beth Berkenfeld at bberk2@optonline.net or 201-797-4342 if interested in joining the group.
