Better days are ahead of us

Due to the Corona Virus and the state’s social distancing mandate, all live meetings have been temporary canceled for the duration of the pandemic. That said, many groups have ingeniously started holding virtual meetings via the Web, Facebook, or other electronic mediums.

Listed below are the virtual meetings that I am aware of. As more become available, I will share this information with you.

In addition, some previous live meetings were recorded for future use and these Podcasts can be viewed 24/7, when time allows. Check them out; I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised by the amount of helpful information awaiting you.

Fortunately, as we all know, there are some very smart individuals in Tri State Transition Community. I am positive that there will be even more of these virtual meetings going forward. Things are just getting started. Stay tuned, I am sure there is more to come.

Wishing everyone good heath,

Saturday, April 4th, Careers in transition is working on setting up virtual meetings starting with our April 4th meeting. We are in the process of securing 2 zoom accounts.  This will enable us to have our large group discussion as well as resume review.  We will provide more details on how to join the meeting as they become available to all of our groups.  The instructions will include how you can invite new members.  We are still working out some details of how the structure of the virtual meetings will differ from our regular meetings.  Hopefully everyone will understand as we work out the kinks during our first few meetings. Please monitor the group’s webpage at: Christ Church in Short Hills: Careers in Transition and your email for details as we approach April 4th.  Feel free to reach out to Glenn Resnicoff at 1-908-581-6874 or gresnicoff@gmail.com if you have questions or suggestions. These are very challenging times, but we have all been through them before.  We will get through this with each other’s’ support.

  1. Download Zoom.  You can download the Free Zoom version at www.Zoom.us.
  2. Please do this prior to our scheduled time to avoid any technical issues that may arise. This will enable us to begin on time and avoid delays associated with login problems.  By default, when you connect via Zoom you will be on mute.  Please lower your mouse to the bottom of your screen, that will bring up a black band with various icons.  On the lower left side there will be a microphone.  Click on that to unmute when you want to speak.
  3. Please have your Zoom setup tested with someone because once we start the virtual meeting there is no one to help you.  Furthermore, it is unfair to the others on the call to keep them waiting till you attempt to fix your technical issue.
  4. Please use a pc and NOT a mobile device.
  5. At the Zoom site, you can find instruction videos regarding the use of Zoom under the Help screen.

Below is the meeting invitation. I look forward to “seeing” you again at the meeting. Please email at MartyLatman@gmail.com if you plan on attending this meeting. Join the Zoom Meeting at: https://zoom.us/j/348309787  Meeting ID is: 348 309 787
